"You mentioned Ryan Gosling, and I read this thing recently that he said he's kind of going to take a step back from acting because he needs to learn more about himself," Cooper said to Griffin on his talk show Anderson Live.
"I feel like it's a dagger in my heart because I feel like Ryan Gosling doesn't know that you and I broke up and that I'm seeing other people," a flirty Griffin joked.
"Ryan Gosling is one of those celebrities that, maybe because he's breaking up fights in New York City, but most women think they actually have a shot with him," she continued. "Like, I don't know what it is, but a lot of my girlfriends think like, No I really might date him one day."
"Well there is a hotline or a help line set up for fans of Ryan Gosling who are very upset," Cooper said before actually dialing the hotline number.
"Do I look OK?" Griffin cracked. "I feel like I'm going on a date with Ryan Gosling and I'm kind of nervous. I hope he likes me."
Needless to say, when Gosling's voice (or shall we say a recording of his voice from The Notebook) answers the phone, hilarity ensues!
