30 Seconds to Mars singer really did make jewelry out of the super-morbid gift

Jared Leto wasn't messing around when he claimed he made a necklace out of a fan's severed ear.

"THEY CUT OFF THEIR F-ING EAR AND SENT IT TO ME!!!" Leto tweeted today, along with a photo of the seemingly very real-looking ear in question with a string looped through it.

Who's hungry?!

"Someone cut their ear off once and sent it to me," Leto told London's XFM radio. "That was very strange. A whole ear. The Van Gogh move...The note just said, ‘Are you listening?' I never knew who it was, who's missing their ear out there."

Presuming this aural offering is the real deal, we can only imagine what people who don't like Jared Leto send to the poor guy.
