Oh, brother, indeed.
Fresh on the heels of Chris and Liam Hemsworth's Hollywood surge (and, in the case of the latter, a surge of unwanted scrutiny surrounding his rocky romance with fiancée Miley Cyrus), a third Hemsworth sibling is now getting ready for his crack at Hollywood stardom.
Older brother Luke Hemsworth has landed the lead in the crime thriller The Reckoning, which will mark the 31-year-old's big-screen debut, per Deadline.
The film—which also costars Jonathan LaPaglia, Anthony LaPaglia's younger brother—follows two detectives who come across footage at a murder scene and try to track down the two missing teenagers who shot it.
It could just be the big break the elder Hemsworth's been waiting for, after years of sweating it out in Australian television with parts in series like the soap Neighbours.
He's certainly already getting quizzed about nonmovie stuff: In an interview with Entertainment Weekly last year, he sounded off about meeting future sister-in-law Miley.
"She won our hearts," he said. "I find her really interesting. I find her very articulate, and years in maturity above her age. But at the same time, she's very much like Liam. I think a lot of people don't realize that they are really, really in love. They actually are a perfect match in a lot of ways."
Perhaps Liam should just have Luke swat down all those pesky breakup rumors, then.
