How I Met Your Mother: No, the episode's returning guest star, Glee's Jayma Mays, did not turn out to be the mother, but we did get a major reveal: Ted (Josh Radnor) will be meeting the mother in 45 days. That would be May 9, 2013, if we are being precise, which is a Thursday. Hmmmm...So do we all get to meet her too for May sweeps? HIMYM fans can only hope! And how about that epic tag with Ted and Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) performing Billy Joel's "The Longest Time"?!
Revolution: RIP Danny (Graham Rogers)! Yes, the mop-headed younger brother of Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos), whom she and Miles (Billy Burke) spent the first half of the season trying to find and save, was the latest casualty on the NBC hit, which returned after a five-month hiatus.
So how'd it go down? After learning that Monroe's army would be attacking the base they were at with helicopters, Charlie begged Danny to sit the fight out. Of course, he didn't and ended up playing a huge role: Taking out a helicopter with a bazooka! But Danny's moment of heroism was short-lived as he was soon struck by bullets from a crashing helicopter. While his mother Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) was understandably devastated, Charlie, who has lost almost everyone close to her now, seems hardened by this tragic loss.
The Following: After Paul's (Adan Canto) death last week, Jacob's (Nico Tortorella) and Emma's (Valorie Curry) reunion was anything but sweet as he warns her to watch her back after confessing that he killed his "best friend." Oh, and fans didn't have to miss Paul for too long as he appeared throughout the episode, telling Jacob, who is clearly suffering from post trauma, to kill Emma.
And though Ryan (Kevin Bacon) and Claire (Natalie Zea), finally exchanged "I love you's" and sealed it with a kiss, Claire chose to leave with Roderick (Warren Kole) and reunite with Joe (James Purefoy) in order to see her son again. Hey, a mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do. If that's not enough heartbreak for Ryan, turns out the one girl he was almost serious about after breaking up with Claire is one of Joe's followers. Not cool, show. Not cool.
