Anne Hathaway doesn't want James Franco to talk about their infamous Oscar hosting gig…but he will anyway.

The Spring Breakers star stopped by Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show, and, of course, the controversial host brought up the topic of Franco's critically savaged 2011 hosting gig.

"I'm happy to revisit this, but you're going to have to take the lead," Franco says, before chuckling, "She does not want me to talk about this, but OK."

"She comes off like the goody-two-shoe actress…It's fun to hate her even though she is a great actress…Is that accurate?" Stern pries.

To which Franco reluctantly responds, "Yeah, I'm not an expert on Hatha-haters," he confesses, "but I think maybe that's what triggers it."

"I'm going to have to read a bunch of quotes of like, ‘Oh, James is still talking about the Oscars!' You guys are the ones that initiated it," he jokes with a smile.

Despite the botched hosting gig, Franco does admit he would like to win an Oscar, but says it's a difficult race to run:

"Sure," he says when asked if he wants to win an Academy Award. "It's great to be recognized and it's great to be recognized by your peers, but the situation you get into when you're an Oscar hopeful, it's like running for office…but there's no ticket to run on."

Also up for discussion? Franco's infamous sex tape, and Stern presses the actor for details.

"It wasn't professional in anyway, it was my girlfriend…she's married now," he admits as Howard continues for ask for the woman's identity.

"That was after Freaks and Geeks, it was with my girlfriend, she maybe doesn't want me to say who," he continues as Stern pries.

"All right, I'll say it was an innocent thing we made for ourselves, it wasn't like, you know, Screech where it was made for public consumption and everybody knows," he jokes before adding. "I dated an actress named Marla Sokoloff for like four years."

Well, there ya have it.
