Hope you've got your matzah and your macaroons, because Passover begins tonight at sundown!

If you need any help explaining to your kids or your pals about the very important Jewish holiday, the first (and most widely known) of Judaism's three Pilgrimage Festivals, there are a plethora of options in pop culture to make the telling more fun—not to mention more relatable for the Gossip Girl and O.C.-watching generations.

First off, the origin story of the seven-day commemoration of Moses leading the enslaved Israelites out of Egypt, as told in the Bible's Book of Exodus, has been a go-to plot for years. Would Charlton Heston have been the Charlton Heston if he hadn't played the staff-wielding, epically bearded prophet in The Ten Commandments?

And, perhaps better yet, Passover is another time of year when families and friends get together to argue and eat, which tends to make for a good time on both big and small screens.

With or without Haggadah in hand, kick off your week by checking out these examples of Passover getting the Hollywood treatment.
