Attention, Beliebers: Don't believe everything you read.

Proving that big stars aren't the only ones who fall prey to nasty online pranks (holla, Morgan Freeman), a gal featured in a Justin Bieber video has now become the latest victim of a stealthy death hoax.

Rachel Barnes, who got primo spotlight in Biebs' "Boyfriend" music video as the crooner's onscreen paramour, found herself at the center of an unwanted barrage of tweets after the hashtag "#RIPRachel" started gaining traction on Twitter earlier this week and snowballed on Tuesday.

According to the bogus tweets, Barnes succumbed to cancer, and the Twitterverse quickly spewed forth a litany of condolences.

"Rachel Barnes, the girl who played in the Boyfriend video died from cancer today. She's got all our love. May she rest in peace," wrote one tweeter, while another ruminated, "We lost another angel. #RipRachel."

Barnes, however, was having none of that.

"Glad I'm alive too," she wrote on her Instagram page while responding to a concerned follower. A day later, she posted a photo of her flipping the bird with the caption, "feeling feisty."

After a Twitter prank like that, who can blame her?
