Will you be extending your stay at Bates Motel?

A&E is counting on your business after the series premiere of their new drama Bates Motel, a contemporary prequel to Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho starring Finding Neverland's Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga.

Now that the highly-anticipated series has debuted, we're curious to know what you thought of this new take on the infamous story...

Highmore takes on the iconic role of Norman Bates in the reboot, which focuses on the twisted relationship between Norman and his mother Norma, played up Up in the Air's Farmiga, and shows viewers how Norman's upbringing led him to become a cross-dressing serial killer. Just your typical coming-of-age story!

Lost's Carlton Cuse and Friday Night Lights' Kerry Ehrin are behind the new series, which centers on Norma and Norman taking over the infamous inn. Max Thieriot takes on the role of Norman's rebellious brother and Lost's Nestor Carbonell plays the town's sheriff.

"When I knew Carlton was doing it, I knew it was gonna be sensational," Carbonell told us of joining the cable series. "He sent me the first six scripts, and I was blown away."
