Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens was almost unrecognizable when he debuted a darker 'do and a slimdown at the TAG Heuer Celebrates 50 Years of Carrera event in New York City last week. 

Wearing a fitted suit and showing off his baby blues even more than before (thanks to the dark hair), it was hard to believe that this actor was the same guy who played the dearly departed Matthew Crawley. 

"From a personal point of view, I wanted a chance to do other things," Stevens said when announcing his departure from the show. 

After leaving the period drama, Stevens went on to appear on Broadway in The Heiress with Jessica Chastain. Also in the works for the dark-haired dude are A Walk Among the Tombstones with Liam Neeson as well as The Fifth Estate with Benedict Cumberbatch.
