Valerie Harper isn't letting terminal brain cancer bring her down.

The 73-year-old actress stepped out of her Santa Monica home Thursday as she headed with husband Tony Cacciotti to a TV interview.

The former Rhoda and Mary Tyler Moore Show star looked calm and collected despite recently learning she has less than three months to live.

Harper donned casual chic attire for her television appearance, sporting a pink sweater, scarf and simple black pants.

Valerie's on- and offscreen BFF Mary Tyler Moore also spoke out about her pal's diagnosis yesterday, telling E! News she's "absolutely devastated" by the news.

Find out how Valerie told Mary Tyler Moore about her diagnosis

"Valerie has given so much joy, laughter and love to the world. I join her fans and send much love and positive thoughts to her and her family during this difficult time."

Thanks to an outpour of support, Valerie is maintaining a positive outlook on life. She told People magazine she doesn't "think of dying" but focuses on "being here now."

We wish the actress and her family all the best during this difficult time.
