Abigail Breslin is no longer Little Miss Sunshine, but she's still lighting up the big screen.

E! News caught up with the 16-year-old star at the Los Angeles premiere for her new flick The Call, the upcoming thriller she costars in with Halle Berry, and asked the actress—who starred in her first commercial at the age of 3— whether it's been difficult to transition from child star to adult actor:

"It's been pretty natural," she confessed, looking stunning in a trendy Alice + Olivia pantsuit and Simon G jewels. "You know I've been really lucky that I've gotten to do such awesome characters and be in such great movies, so I just feel lucky."

Watch: Abigail Breslin Grows Into New Roles

Lucky, indeed! Breslin first made waves as an actress with her breakout role in the comedy-drama Little Miss Sunshine, for which she was nominated for an Oscar at just 10 years old. Since stealing our hearts as little Olive Hoover, Breslin has continued to work in the movie biz, costarring alongside A-listers like Cameron Diaz and Johnny Depp.

"The past year has been amazing with the stuff I've gotten to do so I just feel really lucky," the adorable actress added.

Breslin also dished to E! News on her bright blond ‘do, explaining she recently went to blond for a role:

"I went blond for a movie I did a few years ago, and then I kept it for a while, and then I had to go back to dark hair," she explained. "So I just went back to blond for a movie that I did called Final Girl."

"It's pretty terrifying," she continued. "You wake up as like a brunette and then you wake up the next morning and you're washing your hands in the bathroom and you're just like ‘that cannot be me.'"

Well, whether blond or brunette, we think Abigail looks great!

The Call hits theaters March 15.
