The Hunger Games: Catching Fire's Elizabeth Banks Poses for Portrait as Effie Trinket

Elizabeth Banks' Effie Trinket is ready for her close-up.
In what is being billed as the first of several official "Capitol Portraits," a new photo has been released touting Catching Fire, the buzzy follow-up to last year's $686 million-grossing blockbuster The Hunger Games.
In the image, which was posted on Facebook Monday, the Capitol's flamboyant maven flashes her signature outré style as she sits, monarch-like, on a chair while rocking some distinctly nonaristocratic duds.

Looking like a sartorial bouquet gone bonkers, Effie is dolled up in a profusion of layered red fabric (yep, down to her shoes), her salmon hair primped into an imposing coif. The stunning frock is from Alexander McQueen's Fall/Winter 2012 collection.
The reveals comes on the heels of recent Catching Fire promo pics showing Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) gearing up for their "Victory Tour."
Catching Fire burns up theaters on Nov. 21.
