Barbara Walters is back!

The morning show cohost returned to The View on Monday after spending the last six weeks recovering at home from chickenpox and a head injury.

"Today after a lot of scratching and rest, I am fine and I am healthy," Walters said after being greeted by an enthusiastic studio audience.

Walters went on to reveal that she actually contracted the chickenpox from interacting with a celebrity, "who shall remain nameless," in early January who wound up having shingles.

"If you have never had chickenpox, you can get it from someone who has shingles," she said. "I didn't know that."

However, just before getting ill, Walters fell and cut her forehead while visiting the British ambassador's residence in Washington, D.C., on the eve of President Barack Obama's inauguration.

"The pox came and went weeks ago. The head injury took longer," Walters noted, adding: "People have said I should have my head examined. I did and I'm fine. "
