Clint Eastwood and President Barack Obama have at least one thing in common: They both support gay marriage.
The movie icon joined approximately 100 Republicans Thursday in signing a brief asking the Supreme Court to allow same-sex couples to marry.
The American Foundation for Equal Rights spearheaded this opposition to Prop 8, the California measure that restricts marriage only to those between a man and a woman.
Eastwood's manager confirmed to E! News that the 82-year-old actor did indeed sign the brief. On March 26, the Supreme Court will hear the arguments filed to overturn Prop 8.
This, of course, is not Eastwood's first foray into politics. He memorably addressed an empty chair last August at the Republican National Convention.
