In a Glee episode full of shocking plot twists (Emma a runaway bride! Rachel pregnant!), Quinn (Dianna Agron) and Santana (Naya Rivera) hooking up was one that riled up fans the most. You know who else thought it was a jaw-dropper? Naya Rivera.
"The Quinn hookup—Quinntana, I believe they are calling it, [was] crazy," Rivera, who never saw their wild night coming, told us at a PaleyFest event honoring Glee creator Ryan Murphy. "I had no idea and then it was funny because Diana was like, 'Hey, I'm back from break. What's going on?' and I was like, 'We're going to hook up!'"
But what Quinntana fans really want to know is: Will that hookup lead to more romantic ventures and possibly even a relationship?
"I don't personally think that there's a future there," Rivera said. "I think it was more of a fun Ryan Murphy plot twist. But if there is, I guess we'll see. You never know on this show!"
Glee writers certainly do love to shake up their couples. For example: Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss) were enjoying a steady relationship until season four came along and bam! Blaine's eye wandered and they broke up. If Klaine fans are getting restless, you aren't the only one.
"It's getting boring," Criss complained to us. "They've broken up, so they're a broken up couple now." So are Klaine fans doomed to suffer broken shipper hearts forever or will they get back together?
"I hope so! I think that would be the ideal goal but I really hope it doesn't happen any time soon for the sheer sake of them growing apart from each other and hopefully adding to who they will be together whenever they get back together," Criss mused. "I think they have some learning to do on their own."
