The awkwardly over-the top, eclectic and later-regrettable phase of fashion is inevitable for any teen idol.

It appears now that Justin Bieber's in the thick of his "look back later and cringe" era. The 18-year-old pop star stepped out Wednesday in London wearing an oversize, studded, neon-yellow hat (!) and purple leopard-print pants. (To be fair, his glasses are cute and the shirt is fine, too.)

Of course, this ensemble (reminiscent of Justin Timberlake's double-denim, cowboy hat-wearing period) isn't half as bad as the Biebs' wearing a gas mask earlier this week.

Hey, you live, you learn. Still, we're patiently awaiting the day Bieber graduates to a Suit & Tie.
