Now this is what we call an incredible high-low mix!

The stunning Helen Hunt stepped onto the Oscars red carpet in a gorgeous gown by an unlikely label: H&M.

That's right, the totally accessible clothing line created a beautiful couture midnight blue gown in silk satin just for the star, and we're in total approval of this savvy choice.

Not only is Hunt's gown refreshingly affordable, it's also eco-conscious!

The Oscar nominee told E!‘s Ryan Seacrest that her dress is as "green" as it is blue, thanks to H&M's recently launched eco-friendly initiative with the environmental group Global Green.

A rep from H&M also tells us that the breathtaking dress won't be available in stores since it was a custom design specifically for the main event.

But just because Hunt rocked a dress by a mass retailer doesn't mean she discarded glam altogether!

She paired the strapless gown with no less than--not a misprint—$700,000 worth of bling by Martin Katz! Sewn right into the dress!

Equal parts glam and down-to-earth? What else could you want in a red carpet look?

What do you think of Helen Hunt's eco-conscious gown selection?
