The Oscars may be celebrating Amy Adams' work in The Master tonight. We, however, are already getting excited for her next big role.

Wearing a long-flowing Oscar De La Renta dress, the Best Supporting Actress nominee shared the influences for her next role as Lois Lane in Man of Steel. "I think it's always important to pay attention to the people who went before you to take what works for the film you are doing but to add a modern touch," the 38-year-old told Ryan Seacrest.

Her biggest inspiration while filming came from the star of Superman.

"Margot Kidder was my Lois Lane so I'll always think of her," Amy said.

Man Of Steel opens in theatres nationwide on June 14.
