Were bad guys at play while Rihanna was away?

The "Diamonds" diva is currently on a tropical getaway in Hawaii with on-off beau Chris Brown to celebrate her 25th birthday, but on Friday, a report surfaced that the pop star's Los Angeles home had been broken into.

Supposedly, a man was arrested after neighbors noticed someone at the singer's Pacific Palisades home, and they ended up calling the cops and detaining the perp, who claimed to have received instructions on how to enter the property.

An exciting story, sure. But one that's apparently bogus: Authorities confirm to E! News that the burglary did not happen at Rihanna's home, but at her neighbor's.

That's bad news for the neighbors, but no doubt a relief for the singer, who can go back to her PDA overload with Brown in Hawaii, which seems to be raising more than a few 911 alerts of its own.
