Shock jock Howard Stern has come out in defense of the Grammy-winning American Idol champ after music mogul Clive Davis openly trashed her songwriting skills and career choices in his newly released memoir, The Soundtrack of My Life.
And Stern was more than happy to give Davis a piece of his mind.
In his memoir, Davis blasts Clarkson as a "‘s---ty" songwriter and recounts a purported meeting with the singer during which she supposedly crumbled into "hysterical sobbing" when he demanded a song be pulled from her new album.
The accusations have left Clarkson seething. "I refuse to be bullied and I just have to clear up his memory lapses and misinformation for myself and for my fans," Clarkson wrote in a fiery missive on her WhoSay page.
Davis, however, refuses to back down.
"I am truly very sorry that she has decided to take issue with what I know to be an accurate depiction of our time together," he later tweeted in response.
