Oscar Pistorius was back in a Pretoria, South Africa, courtroom on Wednesday.
The Olympic and Paralympic athlete known as "Blade Runner" sobbed in court as new details about the night he fatally shot girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp emerged.
Per NBC News, a detective testified that needles and testosterone were found in the 26-year-old's luxury home. Pistorius' defense, however, disputed this claim, saying the substances found were a nonbanned, herbal remedy.
According to prosecutors, witnesses heard a "nonstop" argument at Pistorius' home shortly before he shot Steenkamp.
The athlete's lawyer pointed out, however, that at least one witness was over 1,000 feet away from the house.
Pistorius and his defense maintain that he mistook his model girlfriend, 29, for an intruder. Prosecutors, on the other hand, allege that Steenkamp's murder was premeditated.
The bail hearing is expected to conclude by the end of this week.
