Ready for some Chris Brown news that doesn't involve Rihanna?

The singer-songwriter announced he has started recording his sixth studio, which is due out later this year.

The controversial pop star is reteaming up with Timbaland and Danja, both of whom worked on his 2012 album Fortune, as well as Diplo, who collaborated with Brown on his 2011 Grammy-award winning album F.A.M.E.

In honor of the upcoming album, Breezy posted a preview documentary video on his official website, which features footage from Brown's previous world tours.

The 23-year-old singer has been making headlines for anything but his music as of late. After engaging in a public Grammys snuggle session, Breezy and RiRi are reportedly on the outs again after a Valentine's Day spat.

Brown also received wide-spread attention for his alleged studio brawl with Frank Ocean, although police have since closed the investigation. He's currently still on probation for his infamous 2009 assault of on-and-off girlfriend Rihanna.
