Spoiler alert! This article contains spoilers on a lot of Monday night's shows, so look away if you've yet to watch and don't want to know what went down. Seriously, if you complain about spoilers in the comments, you are the opposite of Batman.

Happy President's Day, y'all! Let's celebrate with some good ol' fashioned cliffhangers and kidnapping plots, shall we, 'cause that's exactly what The Following and Castle gave us Monday night. Oh, and The Bachelor also got in on the shocking action as a fan favorite failed to earn a rose and one of her family members may be to blame...

42-Minute Anxiety Attack: Yep, that's basically what The Following is. Tonight's outing saw two deaths (one of Joe's followers killed a local cop and Ryan killed the follower) and one hell of a cliffhanger: Ryan (Kevin Bacon) being held at gunpoint by Paul (Adan Canto), just as he finally found little Joey. Yes, the ep ended with Ryan stuck in the house with the three psychos and we cannot wait for their faceoff in next week's episode. (P.S. How crazy was it that their was a viewer discretion warning after every commercial break?)

Three Girls Left Standing: Early frontrunner Desiree did not receive a rose on The Bachelor. Yes, the big hometown visit episode proved to be Des' final date with Sean Lowe. Did Des' prank (she hired an actor to show up pretending to be her crazy ex-boyfriend) turn Sean off? Maybe it was Des' brother Nate calling him "a playboy" that made Sean send her home? We're not sure, but those two things probably didn't help.

Taken Part Three: Nathan Fillion is the new Liam Neeson! Castle took a Taken turn with Alexis (Molly Quinn) being kidnapped by terrorists, a storyline that allowed Fillion to really flex his dramatic muscle. Seriously, how awesome was he tonight? Luckily, Alexis is OK and able to break free of her captors to Skype her father...only to realize she's not in New York anymore; she's in Paris!

Line of the Night: "If you have a crazy story, I was there. It's like a law of the universe," Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) awesomely says on How I Met Your Mother.

GIF of the Night: Danny (Scott Caan) being all awesome on Hawaii Five-0.
