Celebs have stunned in girly seafoam gowns this awards show season. We've loved seeing stars awash in this refreshingly original red carpet shade and hope others will continue to ride the seafoam wave in the coming months!

Jessica Chastain kicked off the trend in a pale green Calvin Klein gown with a plunging neckline at the 2013 Golden Globes. Following suit a few weeks later, The Office's Ellie Kemper hit the 2013 SAG Awards in a lovely Reem Acra design with a delicate illusion neckline, while fellow attendee Viola Davis went for slightly more showy seafoam Monique Lhuillier gown in a bolder take on the chic color.

But the delicate pastel shade is having a moment off the red carpet, too. Katy Perry donned an adorable drop-waist dress for a sushi date at Katsuya with John Mayer, and Kate Mara lit up our screens during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in a flirty mini-dress. Both gals toughened up the soft shade with edgy jackets, with Perry picking a mesmerizing metallic number and Mara suiting up in a classically cool leather jacket.

And then there was Kerry Washington, who went for a full-on feminine feel with a two-tone pastel punch of pink and seafoam at the 2013 NAACP Image Awards in Oscar de la Renta.

But whether you're playing up the soothing watercolored shade's girly feel or offsetting it, you're sure to stand out among a sea of gals dressed in more common colors!

What do you think of these seafoam sirens?
