Brandi Glanville is fighting back.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is responding to the statement Eddie Cibrian made earlier today about her new book Drinking & Tweeting being intentionally harmful to him and LeAnn Rimes, as well as to his and Glanville's 8-year-old son Mason and 5-year-old son Jake.

"My book is not intended to hurt my ex husband or his wife," Glanville tells E! News exclusively. "This book is not an autobiography. It is my take on getting through break ups and divorce."

"Most of the book is quite funny, there are parts of the book where I do reflect on my personal life, and what I have been through, and quite frankly those parts of the book are still difficult for me to read today," Glanville says of her marriage to Cibrian, which she refers to in the book.

"That is what life is all about though, making mistakes, learning from them, having bad times, having great times, and luckily I am in a position now, where I have a way to share those experiences with my supporters, and with women all over the world who have been cheated on, or are going through a nasty break up," she continued. "I have been through it all, and the book is meant to be uplifting and humorous. I think people will be able to find words of wisdom in it, all while reading some of my most embarrassing moments, and some of my 'aha' moments as well."

Cibrian's statement was given to the Today Show—Glanville appeared on the show this morning to promote her book.

"I certainly wish I handled some of the choices I made four years ago differently, but I have been conscious of the choices I have made since," Cibrian said. "Although this exploitive book, intended to hurt LeAnn and me, will ultimately only hurt and scar my kids. That deeply saddens and concerns me."

Hopefully for Mason and Jake's sakes, Cibrian is wrong about that.
