Perhaps in response to the Recording Academy's strict new dress code, several stars hit the 2013 Grammy Awards in sleek black pants that left absolutely no room for a wardrobe malfunction.

But that didn't mean these fab ladies looked any less fierce than their riskier red carpet counterparts!

Take Beyoncé who stunned us in a black-and-white jumpsuit that featured bold structured shoulders and curve-hugging pant legs for a look that was subtly sexy. She added girly touches with playful open-toe pumps, a Swarovski clutch with a delicate crystal pave border, and an eye-catching red lip that offered the perfect contrast to her two-tone outfit.

Sticking to her signature style, R&B singer Janelle Monáe hit the red carpet in a menswear-inspired look, including a sharp Against Nature vest-and-shirt combo and a tailored Moschino jacket embellished with glamorous gold-colored embroidery.

The final touch?

A stylish Ralph Lauren hat that locked her perfectly coiffed pompadour into place. Meanwhile, Kaley Cuoco embraced an edgier style with leather leggings and and Amen's black tuxedo jacket embellished with gold sequins and beads.

Jeannie Mai also reached for leggings for the annual award show, dressing up her look with a flirty cropped metallic jacket. Similarly, Bonnie Rae punched up her monochromatic outfit with a jacket featuring the slightest bit of silver sparkle.
