A raging Nor'easter is no match for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week!
Despite New York City's inclement weather, Charlotte Ronson debuted her Fall 2013 collection Friday night at Lincoln Center. The designer admitted to E! News that it was "a little stressful" putting on a presentation mid-blizzard, but she was relieved her newest clothes were well-received.
"I decided to go back to my roots, my British heritage," she explained. "[My collection] has a '60s feel—a lot of A-line skirts and higher necklines—and the makeup and hair is inspired by the '60s but also has a very modern feel."
Charlotte, 35, predicts that "more slouchy sweaters" and "a lot of clean looks" will be in this fall.
That said, she thinks every girl needs "a cute, little fitted dress, a great overcoat that can kind of be an outfit in itself, and an oversized jacket/sweater."
And while Charlotte's designs were definitely the main attraction, her twin sister, Samantha Ronson, also added some color to the night as the presentation's DJ.
"I'm just always so blown away by how talented she is," Lindsay Lohan's ex-girlfriend said. "So, it's always fun for me to try and figure out what music will boost the collection without taking away from it."
Unlike her sis, Sam was "not at all" worried the weather might screw up Charlotte's presentation. "She's the worrier," she said laughingly.
And aside from helping out her sis, what is Ms. Samantha up to these days? "I'm making a record," she said, noting that it's a work in progress. "I'm all over the place!"
