It looks like Justin Timberlake's following in Marc Jacobs' designer shoes.

One day after the latter was announced as Diet Coke's 2013 creative director, Bud Light Platinum has gone ahead and invited the "Suit & Tie" singer to serve as its creative director to "provide creative, musical and cultural curation for the brand."

For starters, the new gig means the 32-year-old Timberlake will star in a new 60-second Bud Light Platinum commercial that will debut during the 55th Annual Grammy Awards airing on CBS this Sunday night and for which he's also slated to perform.

"Bud Light Platinum brings a refined, discerning aesthetic to beer that plays well with what I'm doing," said the pop star-actor-Myspace entrepreneur. "I'm looking forward to not only being a part of the creative process, but in bringing other talented musicians to the forefront as well."

No doubt, some of the same urbane style he sported on the set of his new "Suit & Tie" video and hip cover for his forthcoming album, The 20/20 Experience, Timberlake will bring to beer. Speaking of which, the upcoming TV ad will also feature a bit of J.T.'s new single.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

But at this rate, with as many celebrities taking similar positions at prominent brands—see Alicia Keys for BlackBerry, Lady Gaga for Polaroid, Victoria Beckham for Range Rover, among others—non-celebrity creative directors might just find themselves out of a job.
