Talk about a sweet ending.

Ace of Cakes baker Duff Goldman came to the rescue after another baker turned down a lesbian couple's request for a wedding cake a few weeks ago.

The cake-baking aficionado reached out to the couple via Twitter Monday after seeing the betrothed duo's story on the Huffington Post; the site featured a local TV news story about an Oregon bakery owner turning the two women away because of his own religious beliefs.

"They've made a choice to do what they're doing," owner Aaron Klein said in the NBC affiliate's clip. "I'm making a choice not to be a part of it."

After reading about the story, Goldman tweeted the Huffington Post, asking to be connected with the couple so he could bake them the cake and transport it to them for free.

"I saw this story and I was like, "Wait--I can do something, there's injustice involving a cake!," the Charm City Cakes bakery owner told Huffpost Live.

"For a cake decorator to really feel like he really needed to take a stand…it just makes absolutely no sense," Goldman continued. "It's petty, it's small."

But providing the couple with some sweets? Well, that takes the cake.
