Amy Adams will never forget the first time she went to the Oscars in 2006 when she was nominated for her work in Junebug.

Sure, she loved being a nominee and wearing a Carolina Herrera gown, but the day didn't exactly get off to a good start.

"I had a meltdown that morning because I left my [car] lights on while I was having breakfast at Kings Road Café," Adams told me last night at the Hollywood Reporter's Nominees Night at Spago in Beverly Hills. "My car wouldn't start and then I couldn't find my camera. I cried…My boyfriend had a really good laugh about me on Oscar morning crying."

Jennifer Lawrence is going to be very careful what she eats this year before slipping into her gown. She made international news last year when she revealed her pre-Oscar meal was a Philly cheese steak.

"I don't know, but whatever it is this year it's going to make headlines and follow me for years," the Silver Linings Playbook star said. "So I'm going to have to make it something good."

And guess who's bringing their grandmother to the show again?

"I have to," Jessica Chastain said. "It's was one of my favorite days of my life last year. She's such a special woman to me. It's exciting to share it with her."

Snoop Lion, aka The Artist Formerly Known as Snoop Dogg, performed at last night's bash.

His favorite movie of the year? "Argo was off the hook," the hip-hop star said, adding, "I loved it."

Ben Affleck, Naomi Watts, Steven Spielberg, Sally Field, Jacki Weaver (who quickly took her iPhone out of her bag to snap pics of Snoop!), Jason Clarke, Chris Tucker and Adam Shankman were some of the other guests at the party, which was sponsored by Samsung Galaxy, Audi and Pandora.
