Melissa McCarthy's Sex Scene in Identity Thief: "We Were Making Sweet, Passionate Love!"

Melissa McCarthy may steal Jason Bateman's identity in their new comedy Identity Thief, but it's Modern Family funnyguy Eric Stonestreet that has a raunchy sex scene with the Bridesmaids actress in the flick!

McCarthy and Stonestreet have a hilarious—and wild!—hotel hookup in the movie, which hits theaters Friday.

"Listen, it wasn't hilarious to me," McCarthy said of filming the hot-and-heavy scene at last night's Identity Thief premiere in L.A. "I thought we were making sweet, passionate love!"

The Emmy-winner says, yes, it was awkward getting down and dirty with Stonestreet in front of the camera.

"There's 40 guys standing around watching you and you go," she said. "It was really fun. We were laughing when we were doing it. Half of the time there were shots and we were like, ‘What are we doing?! This junk doesn't even line up. This don't make sense.' It was really fun."

Sex scene aside, McCarthy and Bateman got to rough each other up during the flick's many fight scenes. McCarthy even accidentally punched her costar in the face (for real) during filming.

"I did, twice," she smiled, adding, "He threw me down on the ground on a highway and laughed at me!"
