"Forbidden love is the most unforgiving."
Ain't that the truth, Scandal fans?! The love affair between the ABC political drama's gorgeous fixer Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) has quickly become the hottest romance on TV, mostly because of how forbidden it is. (He's married! His wife is having a baby! He's the leader of the free world!)
But against all odds, viewers are rooting for this star-crossed couple.
And after watching this exclusive video that looks back on their scandalous affair, it's not hard to imagine why. So let's check out all of Fitz and Olivia's steamiest (and most dramatic) moments, shall we?
Set to Emeli Sandé's "My Kind of Love" (how perfect are these lyrics: "But don't ever question if my heart beats only for you, it beats only for you"), this seriously hot video recaps the fan-favorite couple's rocky romance, from their first heated hookup to the scary assassination attempt that almost tore them apart for good.
"You almost died. Don't do it again," Liv tells Fitz at the end of the video, before sealing her demand with a kiss. In the Oval Office.
And, of course, the clip ends with Fitz asking Olivia to wait for him, as he's still planning to divorce Mellie (Bellamy Young).
Something tells us viewers will wait as long as it takes for Fitz and Olivia to finally get together!
Scandal airs Thursday at 10 p.m. on ABC.
