When the lanky puppet's owner, Halie Hilburn, earned her ticket to Hollywood on tonight's American Idol, her ventriloquism companion of the last 10 years was tossed aside like so much garbage.
Where is the loyalty?!
We're not sure what gave us the stranger feeling, seeing the puppet languishing in a dumpster or seeing Steven Tyler dressed as a woman.
The former Idol dude showed up looking like a lady in Oklahoma City, the last stop before the show heads to Hollywood next week.
Alas, although he tried his best, and wore a very short skirt, he did not make it through. "I tried so hard," the Aerosmith frontwoman lamented.
Other scene stealers tonight included Nate Tao, Karl Skinner and Zoanette Johnson, who belted out the national anthem (live!) in hopes that President Barack Obama would see her performance and invite her to the White House.
But it was 16-year-old Kayden Stephenson, who talked frankly about living with cystic fibrosis, which has left him with a life expectancy of 35, who positively stole the show. As Nicki Minaj pointed out, he sounded like a young Jackson 5-era Michael Jackson and he's about as cute as can be.
Best of luck to Kayden and his family!
