Kate and Rooney Mara Show Off Their Different Styles at House of Cards Premiere

Sisters hit the red carpet in Dolce & Gabbana and Band of Outsiders outfits

One of the best things about having a sister is the ability to borrow her clothes.

But we're guessing that's not the case with siblings Kate and Rooney Mara, who hit the red carpet of the New York premiere of House of Cards in the ying and yang of outfits.

Kate celebrated the premiere of her new series dressed in a darling Dolce & Gabbana dress with a metallic finish, pearl embellishments and frilly trim, as well as feminine Brian Atwood platform sandals. Meanwhile, Rooney embraced an edgier look in a streamlined Band of Outsiders jumpsuit and fierce lace-up booties, while supporting her older sister on her big night. How cute is that?

The stylish siblings even went for different beauty looks: Kate swept on a nearly nude lipstick and Rooney rocked a bold red pout. The only thing slightly similar about their looks was slicked back hair, with Kate stepping out in a sweet side part and Rooney opting for a sleek bun. And when flawless skin and high cheekbones run in the family, who can blame them for showing off their fab faces with pulled back hair?

Though it's unclear whether these two apples fell far from the tree, it's definitely safe to say they fell far from one another when it comes to their distinctly different fashion senses!
