The loss of Hugh Hefner's longtime secretary and friend hit those who were closest to her very hard, especially some of the Playmates that spent quality time with her in the Playboy Mansion.
And although Kendra already tweeted out her condolences, she wanted to reflect on her relationship with Mary in more depth on her website.
"I'm devastated to hear about the passing of Mary O'Connor," she wrote. "Some of you probably recognize her as Hef's secretary from The Girls Next Door. But Mary was a lot more than that to those who knew her. Mary worked at the Playboy Mansion for more than 40 years and was like the mansion mom."
Kendra continued, "She was almost like a therapist because we could talk to her about anything. When I lived at the mansion I was very close with her. Over the years, she helped me through a lot and was always there for me. She was a shoulder to cry on when I needed it and always there to give me advice when I was going through a tough time."
The former playmate then shared specific memories she had with O'Connor, including a getaway trip and her baby shower.
"She always invited me to her home for Monday night card games with her and her girlfriends but I would end up watching football with her husband Captain Bob instead. Mary also brought me along to her favorite getaway place, Branson, Missouri, which I will never forget. I felt so special that she invited me to her getaway with her and it was so nice to see where she went away to.
"One of my favorite memories of her that I'll never forget is when she showed up at my bridal shower wearing a shower cap, while all of my friends were in risqué outfits. She also held my baby shower for Lil' Hank which is something I will always be thankful for.
"She was a wonderful person and I wouldn't be the person I am without her."
