Prince Harry has come under attack after likening his four-month tour of duty in Afghanistan to playing video games.

During a recent interview, the redheaded royal not only said that he and his fellow soldiers killed Taliban fighters during his deployment, but noted: "I am one of those people who like playing PlayStation and Xbox, so with my thumbs I would like to think that I am quite useful."

Not surprising, the Taliban quickly responded to such a comparison.

"This is a serious war, a historic war, resistance for us, for our people," a Taliban spokesperson told Agence France-Presse. "And now this prince comes and compares this war with his games, PlayStation or whatever he calls it."

But the spokesperson added, "We don't take his comments very seriously, as we have all seen and heard many foreign soldiers, occupiers who come to Afghanistan, develop some kind of mental problems on their way out."
