Adele Set to Perform "Skyfall" at the Oscars

Chanteuse will make her debut on the Academy Awards stage next month, where she'll belt out her nominated hit song

She's already conquered the Grammy stage. Now Adele is gearing up to dominate Oscar's stage as well.

The multiplatinum songbird will be performing her hit song "Skyfall" at the Academy Awards next month, the show's organizers announced Wednesday.

The ditty, which Adele cowrote with Paul Epworth, is up for Best Original Song at this year's derby. It'll be slugging it out with "Before My Time" from Chasing Ice, "Pi's Lullaby" from Life of Pi, "Everybody Needs a B‎est Friend" from Ted, and—what many consider to be "Skyfall"'s biggest competition—"Suddenly" from Les Misérables.

The performance will mark Adele's first live performance since her showstopping return to the Grammy stage last year following vocal-cord surgery—as well as her first since giving birth to her son with beau Simon Konecki.

"It's an honour to be nominated and terrifyingly wonderful to be singing in front of people who have captured my imagination over and over again," the 24-year-old chanteuse said in a statement. "It's something I've never experienced and probably only ever will once!"

Now if only Adele might a little more loose-lipped about what she's finally decided to name her son…
