Arnold Schwarzenegger: I Still Love Maria Shriver

Governator admits he still hopes for a reunion with his estranged wife despite cheating on her for years

Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't saying hasta la vista to his marriage with Maria Shriver just yet.

While making the promotional rounds in Germany this week for his comeback film The Last Stand, the former Terminator star confessed that he's still in love with his estranged missus, who left him after he admitted numerous infidelities as well as fathering a love child.

"We're not fighting any war. I still hope for reconciliation. I still love Maria," a contrite Schwarzenegger told the German daily Bild when asked about celebrating Christmas with Shriver and their kids.

The 57-year-old journalist and Kennedy scion filed for divorce from the 65-year-old actor-turned-politician in July 2011 after 25 years of marriage and four children together, citing irreconcilable differences. The decision came after Schwarzenegger revealed he had fathered a son with the family's former housekeeper, Mildred Baena, 13 years prior and tried to keep it secret, including during the eight years he served as California's governor.

He even wrote about the infamous affair in his aptly titled new autobiography, Total Recall, admitting he "inflicted tremendous pain" on Maria.

Despite spending the holidays with her ex, there's been no word from Shriver whether she'd be willing to reconcile.

Arnold's love life isn't the only thing that's in the pits. The Last Stand failed to make a dent at the box office, taking in a weak $6.2 million following its debut last weekend.
