Castle experienced some real-life drama on the set this morning.

Sources tell E! News that an accident did occur on the set of ABC's hit drama early Friday morning and that two people were injured and taken to the hospital.

While one was treated and released, the other remains hospitalized. The on-set incident is currently being investigated and the recovery of the two injured people is being monitored, our sources add.

According to Deadline, who first reported the accident, one of the injured parties was actress Karen David, who was filming a guest spot. "Karen was the actress in the scene with the stuntman," talent manager William Blaylock told the site. "They fell from a moving van when a door would not shut. Karen was in the emergency room for hours being treated. She has been released but is in serious pain and has to wear a neck brace." The stuntman is still in the hospital in serious condition and is being treated for head injuries, Blaylock added.

ABC had no comment.
