Eco Chic with Ashlan: A Few of My Favorite Things

I was always a girl who loved animals and cared about the environment—um, I totally recycled at home and turned the lights off every time I left!

But it wasn't until I met the love of my life, Philippe Cousteau, that I realized every thing we do, buy and use makes a difference in the world…for better or worse.

I have since set out on making myself, my car, my house, my dog and even my co-workers more eco-friendly without sacrificing style. I mean, we do work at E!

Here are a few of my favorite things that are good for the environment, too!

Beauty Chantecaille Future Skin foundation is made of 60% water, performs no animal testing and they give back. The company also donates some proceeds to the protection of endangered species.

Fashion Just because you want to wear organic cotton, doesn't mean you have to spend an arm and a leg. American Apparel makes organic cotton shirts and underwear with a price tag that will save the world and your wallet.

Pets: I ordered this adorable bed for my dog Aurora. The stuffing is made out of 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. It's super-cute and the mod pattern looks great in my living room. Plus, Aurora loves it!
