Hugh Jackman: I Want to Do Another Musical Movie, but Something "Lighter" Than Les Misérables

If all goes well, Les Misérables' success at the box office will open many more doors for movie adaptations of hit musicals.

In fact, Hugh Jackman, who picked up a Golden Globe on Sunday for his work in Les Mis, says he'd love to do it again.

"I think I wanna do maybe a lighter one next time," he told me at Saturday at the BAFTA Tea reception at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills. "What about some dancing in the next one?"

And yup, Jackman already has a project picked out—Guys and Dolls, the 1950 show that won the Tony for Best Musical. "I wouldn't mind doing Sky Masterson," Jackman said. "That would be fun."

Guys and Dolls centers on a New York City gambler (that would be Sky Masterson) who is challenged to a bet to meet a hit on a woman and convince her to travel to Havana with him. A 1955 movie adaptation starred Marlon Brando as Sky. Costars included Frank Sinatra, Jean Simmons and Vivian Blaine.

Now we want to hear from you. Should Hugh do another musical movie? Should it be Guys and Dolls? Chime in below.
