Wow, Leonardo DiCaprio sure knows how to pull out all the stops when it comes to shelling out for a good date.

The actor attended Sean Penn's "Help Haiti Home" charity gala in Los Angeles Saturday, where he showed his altruism (not to mention his deep pockets!) by winning an auction for day date with Bill Clinton.

Per Yahoo!'s OMG blog, the actor apparently got into a bidding war with another woman for a chance to schmooze with Clinton, and they both ended up agreeing to pony up $400,000 for a joint date with the ex-prez, splitting the bill down the middle.

Yes, Mr. Clinton, sir: We're guessing you can order anything on the menu.

Here's what else went down:

Tragedy: According to reports, Mindy McCready's "soulmate" David Wilson died from a self-inflicted bullet wound.

Confessions: Former athlete Lance Armstrong admitted to Oprah Winfrey that he used performance-enhancing drugs.

Saying Sorry: Howard Stern apologized for bashing Lena Dunham

Maintaining the Crazy: Nicki Minaj talked to Ellen DeGeneres about that infamous feud with Mariah Carey, and reassures everyone that she's really not a "crazy psycho."
