Put on your dancing shoes, Bones fans.

Why? Three reasons: (1) Fox picked up the beloved series for a ninth season. Woo!; (2) Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) will be going undercover as ballroom dancers; and (3) the show returns with tonight with two back-to-back episodes, which includes the previously mentioned ballroom dancing!

We chatted with Boreanaz and Deschanel at Fox's All-Star Party at the 2013 Winter TV Press Tour about the show's awesome renewal news and Booth's terrible dance moves!

Of the season nine pickup, Deschanel said, "For a little while we knew that that might be happening, but I didn't know it was quite official yet." As for Boreanaz, he doesn't like to pay too much attention to all that renewal stuff! "I just focus on the work," he admitted to us.

In tonight's sure-to-be memorable episode, which Deschanel called her "favorite," Booth and Brennan go undercover at a TV dance competition. Hilarity ensues, natch! "I was just convinced that he was going to be terrible. I kept telling everybody he's going to be terrible. 'He's not a good dancer, he's not going to be able to do it,'" Deschanel recalled thinking of Boreanaz's moves. "But then first I saw a video of him in a movie that he showed me where he actually had some moves and then he did some in person, and I was like, 'Oh, OK!' But you see more of the bad moves in this episode!" Boreanaz simply recalled "a lot of hairspray!"

But it's not all dance moves and hairspray for one of TV's most beloved couples! "Rocky road for Booth and Brennan," Boreanaz ominously teased.
