By the looks of his Twitter page, Seth MacFarlane used the Golden Globes as a warm up for Hollywood's Biggest Night.

The Family Guy funnyman live-tweeted Sunday's awards ceremony with a series of wisecracks that may very well offer up a preview of what viewers can expect come Feb. 24 when he's due to host the Oscars for the first time.

But unlike Lindsay Lohan—who also live-tweeted the Globes and spent most of her commentary extolling the nominees (sans Jennifer Lawrence)—MacFarlane came to bury the stars not praise them, and wasted little time getting comic mileage out of the proceedings.

"Tommy Lee Jones laughing uproariously at Wiig and Ferrell. I'm told this is also his sex face," the 39-year-old actor-director deadpanned in his first tweet of the evening, which included a pic of a very stern-looking Jones.

Though in the case of smoking-hot presenter Halle Berry, he couldn't resist making a Ghostbusters quip and wishing he were the key master.

"'Venkman... we're gonna have to cross the streams,'" joked MacFarlane, quoting Bill Murray's 1984 hit along with a photo of the sexy actress.

Here's another sampling of MacFarlane's humorous take on the telecast:

• "Hi, I'm a Mac." "Hi, I'm a PC," he wrote next to a screenshot of Jimmy Fallon opposite The Tonight Show's Jay Leno.

• "Downey's looking very "10 paces, then turn and fire" chic tonight," he observed in reference to Robert Downey Jr.'s dapper appearance while presenting Jodie Foster with the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

• "Fave celeb tonight: Liev Schreiber!" MacFarlane noted, unable to resist comparing the actor with a picture of beloved '80s icon Max Headroom.

• "Dracula, you're fantastic," he commented on the rather gothic demeanor of Jeremy Irons.

MacFarlane, who didn't attend the Globes, subsequently went out after it was over with his Game of Thrones gal-pal Emilia Clarke, and the two met up with the winners and losers at the HBO after-party. While there, he gave a big thumbs-up when asked about Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's performance as cohosts.

"Please give Tina and Amy high marks because they did great," Seth told Deadline.

When asked whether he's feeling under the gun now that it's his turn, MacFarlane didn't appear in the least bit stressed.

"It doesn't matter how I do, Oscar hosts always get thrashed," he quipped.

We'll have to wait another month to see.
