Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Usher, Brad Paisley and the cast of Glee are among the latest big-name artists set to perform at the Washington, D.C., festivities, which include a Kids' Inaugural Concert on Saturday, Jan. 19, and the official inaugural balls on Monday, Jan. 21.
Joining them in the celebration will be Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Marc Anthony and John Legend.
The entertainers are among a roster of talent that the Presidential Inaugural Committee has announced to mark the occasion of the commander in chief being sworn in to his second term in office. Two days ago, Beyoncé was tapped to sing the national anthem and Kelly Clarkson and James Taylor selected to sing "My Country 'Tis of Thee" and "America the Beautiful" respectively at the inauguration ceremony that's set to take place at the west front of the Capitol on Jan. 21.
More than 35,000 people are expected to attend the evening's largest gala, called simply the Inaugural Ball. The other committee-organized event scheduled is the Commander in Chief's Ball.
As for the Kids' Inaugural Concert two days before, that event is being hosted by first lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden, wife of vice president Joe Biden.
No word yet which events the musicians are slated to play. Other performers on the bill include Mariah Carey's rapper-hubby Nick Cannon, Asian-American hip-hop group Far East Movement and boy band Mindless Behavior.
