Devil's Ride Star Robert Johnston Arrested for Attempted Murder After Alleged Stabbing

Biker featured on Discovery series who rides by the name of "Sandman" has been in custody since Dec. 27

Robert "Sandman" Johnston may be a real-life son of anarchy.

The San Diego, Calif., biker and star of Discovery's The Devil's Ride is facing an attempted murder rap after allegedly stabbing a man during a burglary on Dec. 22.

Johnston has been behind bars—currently in lieu of $255,000 bail—since his Dec. 27 arrest, a spokesman for the George Bailey Detention Facility confirmed Monday to E! News.

The 30-year-old Johnston is due to be arraigned Jan. 11 at the El Cajon Courthouse on charges of attempted murder, burglary, making criminal threats, reckless driving and several vehicular infractions.

According to his Discovery bio, "Sandman" has been a patched member of the Laffing Devils for two years.

The Devil's Ride, which follows the gang's trials, tribulations and good times, wrapped its first season on Discovery on June 13.
