The most highly anticipated matchup of 2013 has arrived.

Of course, we're talking about Jimmy Kimmel vs. Jay Leno! Jimmy Kimmel Live officially moves to 11:35 p.m. tomorrow, Jan. 8, putting Kimmel in direct competition with Leno, his fellow late-night host whom he's slammed once or twice in the press recently.

We caught up with Kimmel on his set, where he dished on his ongoing feud with Leno, vacationing with Jennifer Aniston, who happens to be the first guest in his new time slot, and reveals if Jimmy Fallon and David Letterman have wished him luck.

Just after Christmas, Kimmel and fiancée Molly McNearney spent time in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with Aniston, her fiancé Justin Theroux, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt and the group was photographed lounging poolside.

"I was on vacation with Jennifer Aniston in Mexico, which sounds obnoxious, I know!" Kimmel says with a laugh, "But it happened, all right?! She's a lot of fun."

As for what makes his vacation buddy a great first guest, Kimmel explains, "I think people are very interested in everything that she does. It's unbelievable how much people are interested in her, to the point where I think I'd go nuts if I was her. Almost any question you ask is going to be interesting to people and she's got a great personality. She's an ideal first guest."

Of course, we had to ask about Kimmel's rivalry with Leno and whether or not the two communicate often. "We don't really talk. We're not that friendly," Kimmel says of his non-relationship with Leno.

As for why they're not friendly, Kimmel explains, "I feel like I've talked about it to death. I really don't want to continue talking about it. He does his show, we do our show. We're competitive and these things arise."

NBC bosses talk late night time-slot changes

One late night host Kimmel does have a friendship with is Jimmy Fallon. "Jimmy Fallon and I communicate pretty regularly," he reveals. "Dave [Letterman] keeps to himself mostly." Alas, neither has yet to reach out and wish Kimmel luck with his big move. "I haven't heard from either one of them!" Well, they have just over 24 hours to change that!

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
