Just like Gucci, renowned Italian fashion house Prada got its start as a leather goods shop. So it's no surprise the label can still churn out a fierce set of bags and accessories. In fact, celebs have gone gaga over the label's floral tote this season, and we've seen more than one glamour girl, like Elizabeth Banks and Elle Fanning step out in the brand's floral applique shoes.
But the brand has also captivated more than one celebrity fan for its ability to decorate gowns with delicate detailing. Countless red carpet veterans turned up at the 2012 Met Gala sporting intricately embellished Prada frocks. Take Gwyneth Paltrow, who hit the event in a steel blue Prada halter with elegantly embroidered side pockets. From Carey Mulligan's glittering two-tone gown with pretty pailettes to Eva Mendes' tasteful tangerine strapless with resin stone embellishments, the gala's A-list attendees proved the Italian label's designers have a keen eye when it comes to creating feminine details.
