Psst....we have a secret: There are some really good new shows debuting in January.

One of our favorites? NBC's Deception, which is basically the lovechild of Revenge and Veronica Mars, centering on a young cop Joanna (Meagan Good) going undercover to infiltrate the rich and powerful Bowers family after the suspicious death of one the family members, who just so happened to be her best friend growing up.

Without further ado, we'd like to exclusively introduce you to three members of the complicated Bowers family that is at the center of all Deception's juicy drama: Edward (Tate Donovan), Mia (Ella Rae Peck) and Julian (Wes Brown)!

"Everyone thinks he's this horrible monster," Donovan (The O.C., Damages) explains of his character Edward, the departed Vivian's older brother, who was accused of murder and rape ten years ago. "How does that affect your personality?" Though the actor doesn't seem too concerned over Edward's polarizing persona. "It's kind of liberating to play a character that isn't interested in being likable," Donovan admits.

Vivian's other brother is Julian, the handsome playboy who knows just how handsome he is. "Julian is the bad boy. He is the one that the girls just love," Good says. "He's got a little bit of a fiery temper," Hart of Dixie's Brown explains of Julian.

Gossip Girl's Peck plays the youngest Bowers sibling. Mia, who is "a bit of a party girl and a smart aleck," the actress says, adding that it seems to be more of a defense mechanism.

Catch more of the "dysfunctional" Bowers family when Deception premieres Monday, Jan. 7 at 10 p.m. on NBC.

E! and NBC are part of the NBCUniversal family.
