Tom Cruise's ex-wife spotted heading back to the Music Box Theater Wednesday after a brief holiday hiatus

Katie Holmes is back to work.

The 34-year-old former Dawson's Creek star headed back to the Music Box Theatre in New York City for the matinee performance of Dead Accounts, smiling as she made her return to Broadway.

Holmes had a short break from the play over the holidays, with just one day off—Christmas—to celebrate.

Tom Cruise's ex-wife recently revealed that she forgot her lines during a live performance of the play, telling David Letterman on the Late Show that the acting nightmare only lasted a few minutes but "felt like a good hour."

Here's hoping she doesn't have that experience this time around.
